I only got an Xbox 360 a month ago, have not played DVD's on it until now. When I try watch a movie it hands me gtfo saying HDCP link not found. Anyone? Do I need to be online or summit?

are u using VGA, HDMI or component cable to connect to screen?

Is your monitor HDCP compliant?
It looks like the xbox is saying, well this connection is not secure therefore i will not play the video on it because its being played not to a tv but to a recording device.

What LCD are you using because NOT all LCD's are HDCP compliant.

Well I'm using a dvi to hdmi converter for the visual. A seperate cable to the speakers for audio. The current monitor only has DVI and D-Sub. I have bought a new 23" monitor which has hdmi and audio out built in. Will it work with the newer monitor without issues? Only using the hdmi cable?

I'm still waiting for my new monitor to arrive.

What monitor do you have and which one are you buying?

its probably almost defintely the conversion from hdmi to dvi thats the problem

The problem is the 17" monitor isn't HD (not HDCP compliant);)

B2330H

Special Features M MagicBright3, MagicEco, MagicAngle, MagicReturnOff timer, Image Size Color Effect,Customized key, Windows7, DVI with HDCP

17" LCD's are too small for HD content. That's why games look so jaggy on them because it's not HD.
