Pretty dumb reply, don't answer if there is nothing useful to say, and isie thanks hey media centre works good but little slow for me, but I shall test the others out thanks hey

I have Windows 7 running Media Center. Installed the DivX bundle on the Win7 machine so I can stream .mkv files. Then connected to XBox live (even with just a silver account) and play an .avi file to get the sound codec update (It's a one time update - don't need to connect to Xbox live once you have it). If all that is in place then you can watch most video content and file types. Works for me.

LOL :)

media centre is good for MP3, jpg and WMVand its a prettyl good looking GUI but doesnt let you stream avi files, you should look under the my video folder to watch avi

I take it you mean TRANSCODE, because it streams everything the 360 supports AND mkv natively through MC with Windows 7.

Only downsides to MC for me is:

Blurry UI through VGA (HDMI the same?).
It can be very slow.
