I must say that the new Achievement notification is awesome, now you dont have to press the Xbox button and go look for it, it just tells you. Live Messenger also looks really cool

not me, but apparently you can still download arcade games etc, so our worries were unfounded.

The updates pretty small, some saying about 7Mb, basically 2-3 minutes on ADSL 384, so you could probably happily update via dial up, if you use ICS on a PC.

I'm on prepaid 3g with a balance of R0.00, would save me the effort if I could just grab it while I'm at work

Won't new games released from this date on have the update on the disc ? Am I correct in saying this? Does MS embed dashboard updates into games ?

I believe so. It may only be MS games though. In truth I have no idea

Seems like its just bcos of the new folders structure that's been introduced in this update... doesn't seem to hectic, so I'm sure TVersity will be working soon.

The folders struture is needed, so the inconvenience is worth it!!

Probably never.. Don't see it happening.

The least they should do is offer a codec download via Live!! (for a fee, obviously)
