Anyway....so what happens when I turn on the 360 without a MU? Will it still run the old blade system?

And will I be able to dub it over to a HDD when I get one?

no you will just not have any custom avatars.

the actual dash is only 8mb ! thats gets stored on the console! the avatars and other stuff related to the dash gets stored on the memory unit

It's a good question. I don't really know, but I'd guess that you only be able to access the new guide - which is basically the old dash.
