So, I got this xbox classic here and I want to connect to it with my PC or him connect to me with the xbox for files transferring.

On his xbox he can see my server, but only the one small shared folder called Server, he doesnt see the folder called Entertainment and two other with even longer names. What is the problem here?

I can ping his xbox but how do I see what is on his xbox HDD from windows (i tried run > \\"his IP adress")

He doesnt know much about PCs and I know even less about xboxes lol

#1) obviously, the xbox is chipped, as the normal xbox cant do what you are trying to do, and wont even see the small share.
#2) as it is chipped, it means you have 3rd party software on there to do the file transferring.

WHAT IS IT CALLED?
I ask, because you are trying to use smb (windows filesharing)..and most xbox apps are using ftp to do file transfers...only xbmc (and a few dashboards) can do smb, and even then windows versions keep borking things up.

easiest way is to use ftp...the program of choice to use with xbox is flashfxp. most dashboards run an ftp server when they start up...so switch the xbox on, see what the ip address is (usually shown in the dashboard screen) and then go to your pc and do like so on firefox or IE
ftp://xbox:xbox@ipaddressofxbox
e.g.
ftp://xbox:[email protected]
(the xbox:xbox is username:password, and the xbox:xbox combo is what most dashboards use by default)

tutorials are everywhere..
here is a good place to start

Hi all
What ADSL line do I need to connect my XBOX One. My daughter recently won it in a competition, but I am struggling to connect to the XBOX server.
I have recently connected a ADSL 2mb line but still cant connect. Called the XBOX call centre and they say that my line is the issue.

What do I need to do the get this thing to work ?

regards,
Darryl Naidoo
