How long does the batteries in your controller last?

Also i have heard you get those recharge packs, are they worth it?

My controllers power button has been flashing for the past few days, is this the sign that the batteries are finished?

Thx!

The flashing lights do mean that the batteries are running flat... I use the play and charge kits and they really are very good, you can also just plug them in whenever and turn of the console and it will continue to charge the batteries..

It's what I normally do when I finish playing at night..

Yes, they are extremely handy if you not able to get to Zaps like me - in cpt - they are about R199 at CNA.
You can play to your hearts' contentment and as Gavin says, once you are done, power down your machine and they will recharge via the usb port of the 360 whiel the machine is off.

Personally I just use rechargeable AAA's.
1. They're cheap
2. I use them in everything anyway (camera's mice etc etc)
3. I can't use a cable to the 360 because my consoles above my TV.

Using 2500's I get about a week out of a pair playing 2-3 hours a night.

doobi how do you get AAA's to fit in there?

I used to use rechargeables but got a play and charge kit. I seem to get more play time out of the rechargeables though?

Although with the play and charge kit the battery meter on the dash is at least accurate....

I use rechargables too. Just buy one of those packs in-store where you get like 4 batteries and a charger. Mine last very long. While I'm using the one pair, I charge the other. That way you never need to use cords :)

The play and charge kit is the best and you can plug them into any usb port, not just the Xbox's.

I still reckon you get more hours out of the rechargeables.

Although with the play and charge kit it can double up as a gamepad for yur pc ;)

Since when can you use it as a gamepad for your pc?
Anyway back to the topic - it does not really matter what you get mate, just go and get it. It does the same thing at the end of the day. :D

Furnic, No they're not :p

A P&C is R200 for the kit, a set of 4 rechargeable AA's with a charger can be had for R100-R150, you don't get wired to your console, and you can use them for other stuff as well.

...

didn't you know? You can use Xbox 360 controllers on Windows, without issue. In fact part of the Games for Windows initiative is support for the control scheme. You can used the wired pad, P&C or you get a wireless dongle you can use for the pad, wheel and wireless headset.

Ok I know about the Ms drive for cross-platform gaming!
What i did not know is that my 360 remote withthe charge and play kit will work on a pc, I though that you had to buy a wireless add-on toe make that possible.

Hehehe, thanks for the info.
