Xbox controller question

Thanks for the compliment it's nice when people think you smart. ;)

But yes I will apologize, I did neglect to mention that drivers will need to be downloaded so you do need an internet connection for that part.

As for the rest it stands true. When the P&C kit is plugged into the control/pc is does switch on and it would not need to sync as it figures the cable must lead somewhere....

I have never heard such BS in my life !

There's no hope for u Honestly. The wireless control uses RF wireless frequencies 2.4 GHZ THATS Y A WIRELESS RECIEVER IS NEEDED ! Just like a wireless mouse or keyboard thats why they also have wireless recievers. The play and charge kit only charges the control and provides power to it, it does nothing else !

Here is Proof

The wireless version of the xbox 360 controller can be used with the PC, however the wireless gaming reciever is needed in order to use it. In this case the Xbox guide button shows the power left in the controller's batteries, whereas with the wired controllers, the button is inactive

Here's a screenshot i took which shows MORE proof that a wireless reciever is necessary for the wireless control to work on a PC !

I'm in agreement with Dohc-WP on this one.

Tried it a few weeks ago with a P&C kit and the drivers from MS. Unfortunately it was a no go :(

Problem with the play and charge kit is if you have two remotes, you are going to need two play and charge kits. Thats R200 each.

The cheaper option would be the rechargeable batteries.

thing is, with rechargeable batteries you have to take them out, put them in the charger and better have some charged ones on hand so you can play now.

charge kit, everythings flat, ok just plug it in and start gaming.

its just so much easier to plug in the usb cable to the pad instead of fiddling with batteries and chargers and all that crap

Ya, but in my case.

I have a Wii and a Xbox. I bought the play and charge thinking that it could charge both controlllers.

I still had to out cos my other controller needed batteries. Bought rechargeables so that the other controller and two of the Wii controllers will be able to be charged.

doesn't last 3 hours ..... what?! must be something wrong somewhere there bru, surely.

My only word of advice with rechargeables is buy extra and make them all the same otherwise charging pairs can get annoying.
