A mate of mine has just moved from the US to SA and his XBox has got the RROD error. Is it possible to get it swapped out in SA?

Yes it is.

Just follow the same procedure as an SA 360.

As with the SA ones without receipts they may charge a handling fee of ~R600-R700.

Or you can have it repaired by me for less than the handling fee MI Digital charges.

Just a thought :D

If he swaps his xbox locally, which he can, he will just have to pay the admin fees, the problem is he wont be able to play his NTSC games...
A lot of games are dual but then a lot arn't, so it all depends if he wants a PAL console or not.
If he wants to keep his NTSC then get maestro to repair it.

Maestro, what do you charge to repair and do you guarantee it?

MS want to have it couriered to Europe where they will repair and send it back free of charge because it's NTSC

They wont let me swap as it's NTSC, they will only allow me to ship it to Europe to have it repaired.
