ok so I've got a Microsoft Xbox360 Wireless Receiver for Windows. So I can use my xbox controller to play certain games with it on my PC. Now will I be able to connect an xbox 360 headset to my PC aswell?

probably, but you will have to choose, to plug it in your microphone jack or your headset jack, but you cant have both.

Yip, I've tested it and it works. It shows up as an additional audio output device which can be selected under multimedia options in the control panel.

btw, it is wireless right? and if so, does it use batteries?
