I know this is probably on the forum somewhere but I don't feel like sifting through pages and pages :D So anyway, I have a DVI output LCD and would like to know what I need to hook it to my 360. Any info on what exactly is needed would be appreciated :D

You need:

(1) An official Microsoft HDMI cable ($$$) or just a normal HDMI cable (about R250)

and

(2) a DVI-HDMI connector

Kark ...... two things eh. Dammit, why do they make it so tricky (and expensive) :o

Ok, it's this: * HDMI MALE TO DVI MALE CABLE
* For use with LCD monitors
* 1.8m

for R73 :D

^^
Assuming that your 360 has a HDMI port (Mongoose edition, Elite and new Arcade/Pro's) then such a cable will work :D

If its an older model, then VGA cable and DVI converter will suffice.

Cheers

yeah what he said. You will struggle with sound (as i did) if you use hdmi.

However if you get the original microsoft xbox hdmi cable it comes with a audio adaptor which will work.

I have personally just aquired the Microsoft HD VGA Cable and I can honestly say that the quality on the LCD is picture perfect.
I have also looked into the HDMI Cable to DVI converters and the quality is below par. (Not to mention the setback in $$$ :() The Microsoft VGA cable is gold plated which means it conducts signal better and makes for a truely HD experience.

Plus it also comes with a 3.5mm audio connector for line-in.

I wasnt expecting much being Microsoft but I was Blown Away !!!

A GREAT buy!

:D:eek::D
