Hey guys.

I am really thinking about getting some points for xbox live and getting some games. My problem is that some of the games are quite expensive.
What games do you think would be worth getting?

Thanks

Castle crashers first and formost..for a cool theme get the fallout 3 theme - stay away from the fable 2 theme.
Another cool xbla game is war world - it is however mostly used for multiplayer.
Braid did very well and there is also Ikaruga.

What type of games do you play?

Does anyone have Bionic Commando Re-Armed?

Was thinking of getting that, but still not sure

Castle Crashers and Braid are the two most highly rated games on Live Arcade, but there's tons of great stuff. Geometry wars is also a classic.

But why listen to us? You can download the trial versions of all games for Free, you only pay for the bandwidth once, as the trial versions are the full versions, you just "unlock" them when you pay for them. Alternatively look at the ratings on Metacritic.

BC:Rearmed also got good reviews, if you like that sort of thing, also look at the remake of Prince of Persia.

LOL so much choice..
I am thinking of getting a 4200 point card
and for now getting
- Uno (the wife loves uno)
- Castle crashers
- Braid
- Duke nukem (gotta love that. its a classic)

I wouldn't do DN3D, I'm not a fan of retro stuff. I'd say get Geometry wars 1, it's only 400pts, and check out the demo's for Catan and Carcasonne, I dig them both.

Oh, there's also the original Dreamcast version of Soul Calibre 1 as well which is pretty awesome.

And if you haven't played them on PSP, EXIT and Gripshift are also great.

definately get castle crashers. its one of the most fun games i've played in a looong time. anyone think fable2 pubgames is worth the points?
i wish we could get ultimate mk3 here. ive got a uk account and its a no go.

Lol at this rate i will need to get 2 points cards
you guys are not making it easy for me... he he
thanks for all the advice

True Fudzy, I never tried ;) The one bummer there is that it restricts Penny Arcade adventures as well, although apparently you can get it with a US account.

doobiwan uses the other 2 I think.
as he said, get the demos - all free - the decide what floats your boat.

I've used all 3 sites (Live subs aer region free and cheaper in the Us :D ) and they're all pretty good, and all now use google checkout, so it's pretty much just a case of pick the best price.

As for Evo gaming, that's La Magra if I'm not mistaken (well known guy, has his own sub-forum on the 360 forum), that price isn't too bad, but it's cheaper and quicker to order online.

Anyway, don't just take our word for these things, download the demo's!
