Hi, is anyone else having a problem connecting to xbox live on a mweb connection. I have never had any issues. Tried connecting this afternoon, but i cant get in. I tested using my phone (mtn) and i got connected. I havent changed anything on my setup, was still using live yesterday 02-07-11. Please let me know if anyone else is having a issue like this.

Not just you.
Was enjoying a good round of Modern Warfare 2 when the Xbox live connection terminated.
This happened about an hour and half ago.
I am also an Mweb user. Not sure if Mweb is the problem or if its Seacom or Telkom or whoever else is involved.
Hope its sorted soon.

When in doubt, its Mweb, but they will blame it on telkom or seacom. Free the web....ROfl

I'm also having this problem. I can sign in on my AFrihost account, but my MWEB uncapped wont sign in.

Hi Guys,

It seems there are a lot of customers complaining of the same type of issue.
I have logged it with the engineers to investigate and await their feedback on the matter.

Kind regards,
MWEB Guy

I tried connecting again now and i got in, so not sure if i just got lucky or if its fix. But im am back in for now.

I had the same issues on Mweb Uncapped 4mbps all weekend, gave up trying.. will test again tonight, but any word on what the issue is Mweb? At least give a reason, I've been 100% happy with Mweb Xbox Gaming performance since being with them. So this is certainly a first for me.

I'm at a loss. Been on MWEB for 3 months now and I'm pretty happy must say. Until I tried to login on to XBOX live to renew my Gold Subs. I get a error that says I'm connected to the Internet but cannot contact XBOX LIVE. Now before I did not have to do any of that port forwarding nonsense it was straight plug n play for me until now. I've even tried port forwarding but nothing, I phoned MWEB Techies and it's extremely frustrating talking to them. I check and rechecked every single possible cause for the loss of connection but have quit literally given up.

Someone said I should try get Primary and Secondary DNS IP's from MWEB? Currenlty it is set to Auto like it always has been.
