xbox live on neotel

hi guys, firstly ive got a bladder infection from fallout, just couldent get myself to put the controll down!!

is anyone using neotel for xbox live and what are the results like?
 
Actually also quite interested - anyone tried?

I'd guess just as (bad) as 3G and most wireless connections though.
 
They're meant to launch their REV A data-only option before the end of the month - router with Ethernet.

I'm holding out to see what that's going to be like...
 
The blurb says 60-120ms, apparent reports from myBB say reality is about 100ms, so on paper it's worth investigating.
 
Also interested. I need an alternative to 3G.

I'm currently on 3G, but I'm getting gatvol with it. Respawn,Dead,Respawn,Dead.....It's like I'm a total noob:(.
I'm serously thinking about adsl, but I hate that I also have to pay analog line rental (bastard Telkom:mad:).

How's adsl / neotel compared to 3G ? I know latency is much better on adsl, but is it really worth it. I don't pay for 3G, but will have to pay adsl myself.
 
I heard some Neotel 4MB lines give up to 40mbps download speeds! :eek: Don't know about the upload speeds or latency though, but I think it might be worth investigating...

woah... wait. what???

40mbps on a 4mbps line?? i didn't even know neotel had lines yet :D
 
Well, apparently they do. A colleague of mine saw it with his own, watering eyes running at a client of ours... :)

but 40mpbs? there better be no cap, because you will blow your 3GB cap in mere seconds... ok ok. 12 minutes :P and nothing for the rest of the month!

although i do remember something about neotel having that uncapped thingymabob
