Xbox LIVE refund

Just ported to SA service and was grossly disappointed. My free PSN service is better than my paid gold subscription. So I've decided I can forgo xbox online gaming for the next few years or maybe forever.

I contacted MS LIVE via e-mail and they told me to phone Local Xbox LiVE support and I can get my MS Points and unused subscription refunded as the service is not up to standard compared to UK/US.

if you guys interested ypu can call 0800 991 550 (SA LIVE support).

Goinna give it a try and will let you know how it goes.

Edit: They said in e-mail that they will refund unused subscription and unused MSPOints not downloaded content purchases. And that the account will be downgraded to silver.

Edit: Oops, misread. Thought you were talking about an incentive to stay.

That's pretty cool that they're giving full refunds. At least no one should feel too cheated if they can get most of their money back.

They're probably just talking about the migration bonus, where you get between 800 and 1600 MS Points for migrating your account: http://www.xboxgaming.co.za/news/migrate-your-xbox-live-account-and-get-free-ms-points/

Although I am hugely disappointed with Xbox Live SA, I am going to stick around for a few months so MS can see their is demand from the local community.

Much Agreed On That DigitalSoldier, And i know people are going to say otherwise but i like playing with guys in the community it makes a difference playing with S.A guys and supporting the Live ZA experience, i know that content is not huge, but i dont buy arcarde gamer and facebook and stuff thats what iv got pc for, if i want to watch a movier i just stream it to my box dont need netflix, and my adsl line is also the limiting factor on not downloading arcade games, o well for one im not moving

I am struggling to find games (COD: black ops) and there just no games to purchase. I used to buy alot of extra content.

I just don't see the point of paying for GOLD when my free PSN service is better than local live and I have intentions of getting another uk account (I can afford to skip GOLD as I have a PS3) . I just want my MS points and unused subscription refunded till they get the service up to scratch.

I think the fact that I ported and have a silver account will be proof that there is demand.
