XBOX LIVE UK or US or SA?

Hey all

I want to get an Xbox live gold membership.

So do I go US, UK or SA? ... and why?

Sa's vouchers are more expensive, marketplace has less items.

Live SA service has nothing to offer over the UK service, except that it it is actually in SA.

Hw sad, i fully support Xbox Live ZA but this is bad: i was trying to download the media update to play AVI files, only to find out that xbox live media update has not been imported to ZA yet :O i mean what the heck

Gold membership\Subs are not region specific so it doesn't matter. Buy your subs wherever its cheapest and it can be used on any (US, UK, ZA) account.
MS Points - you can use UK vouchers which works on ZA accounts.

So NO, unless you buy through the ZA dashboard, vouchers are NOT really more expensive.

I bought an XBOX 360 and Kinect sensor on Sunday and signed up for the one month free Gold membership on XBOX Live South Africa.
This is the first time I've ever owned a console and so far I'm not impressed.
I'm starting to wonder if a PS3 would have been a better purchase.

1. I can't play DivX AVI's and can't figure out where to download the media update from XBOX Live SA.
2. There are a total of 6 games IIRC that can be purchased via the MarketPlace which is beyond pathetic.

I definitely won't be purchasing a Gold account any time soon.

Migrate you account over to UK for 12 months. The media update will be available on UK Live.

1. Not yet available on Live SA. So stupid from Microsoft.
2. Apparently we will see a lot more in the marketplace / arcade in March 2011.

Edit: Don't stores have a 7 days return policy, I guess you could take it all back and say 'SA live is crap, give me an ps3'.

Thanks. I'll try create another account and do the update with a temp avatar.
There's no option to migrate an account to the US or UK once you're signed up on SA Live.

If it is new you probably don't have a gamer score to begin with, just make a UK account and go from there...

Otherwise return it within 7 days a get whatever you want...
