Hi All

Is there a site that we can see stats on Xbox Live vs PSN gaming specifically for South Africa.

I want to compare things like:
- game server statistics (how many servers for which games)
- network/ping statistics
- users online and playing
- see what time of day the games are played
- where are the servers located

Hopefully there is a 3rd party site that can provide some if the info above that is not biased to either MS or PS.

Why do you need this though? Project?

Want to compare the two platforms with stats vs opinion.
Want to make in informed decision when buying the next gen console. This will be for a group of friends that play together in the evenings.

PS is by far the most superior product in terms of numbers in SA. So my logical guess is that PSN will be the busiest. Not to say Xbox Live will not be busy too.

As mentioned, PlayStation is much more popular here (and pretty much everywhere else).

Horizon, God of War, Spiderman, Detroit, Spyro, Uncharted, The Last of Us, Persona etc. are all Sony exclusive. And you can buy 12 months of PlayStation Plus for next to nothing (R220-250) on the Indonesian store, which is super easy to set up. Not to mention Xbox exclusives are available on PC.

Are you and your friends still deciding? Or only you?

As said before PS is the most popular but if most of your friends are on XB then go with that. If you are all just deciding together, then it doesn't really matter.

Thanks for the replies @RazedInBlack @Bryn @Pitbull

Currently we all Have Xbox 1 consoles. I have a PS4 as well.
With CoD WW2 games were easier to get on the PS4 than Xbox.

I hoped that there would be some site with the stats, but does not look like it.

I'm sure if you check the PSn or Xbox live online status it should give you some numbers. But it's will be global not SA specific.

Just create a new Sony account and change the region to Indonesia. You don't need a VPN. Sign into the account with your PS4 and set the machine as the primary one for that account. Either load up Indo vouchers from OffGamers or connect an Old Mutual Money Account card. That's it. Just buy what you want and any other users on the same device can benefit from PS+ and play any installed games on their own account.

It's a shame you just missed Black Friday. The deals for Indonesia were nuts.
