This is more just a rant than anything else...

Looks like the network port on my 360 has given up the ghost... its not getting a steady connection through to my router and my router just sits there and blinks to itself.. *mutter*

To old to swap out I think... :(...

and wireless might not do what I want it to do.... meh...
oh well

I do sell standalone consoles for R800, stock permitting.

But that doesn't alleviate your immediate problem.

I've tested the CAT5... it works fine..

Wireless is just extra Cash that I don't really want to spend atm..... Although fsck... if i Have to I will...

R800 for a xbox360? Makes me want to buy another one. Let us know when you have stock.

Using another router as a bridge isn't really gonna help you out here because the ethernet ports still need to be used. :(

Second hand but you do give them a check up?

The get an extensive check and general service (clean-up and refurbishment if necessary).

My own little MI Digital operation ;)

Onto the issue of TB ... the ethernet port is known to give up the ghost and their is no reliable way to fix it. Lightning is the enemy the majority of the time!

I've attempted a repair on two such consoles by replacing the USB/Ethernet component from a spare motherboard. It worked on the one console.

Hence the fact I recommended getting a replacement unit or using the wireless adapter as it uses the USB port at the back,

I'm kinda liking the idea of using the Wireless adapter simply cos its less wires, but the idea of having a second console is also quite appealing.
