Alright I've got the "No Video, but also no red lights" problem on my xbox360.
It is way past the warranty, and I can't find any local places to fix it.
Online guides cost cash and cannot be purchased easily from my little corner.
One guide was free, and I used it's advice.
I opened the case, cleaned the GPU and CPU as well as the heat sinks.
Replaced the thermal compound by a higher grade one, and put everything back together.
IT still doesn't work.
It comes on, gives a momentary flash of something resembling video, then cuts out immediately. Audio is perfect, and i can hear that it loads and plays games and dvds
perfectly. I have tested on various TVs, but haven't tested other cables, since i don't have any. They are expensive as hell, and none of my friends have xbox.
So, this problems seems like overheating, but if the transfer of heat between the processors and the heat sinks are fine, what would cause it to overheat? (Yes, the fans are working.)
