Seems it can't.
For a 'media machine' and the fact Microsoft want this to be the hub, it's limited and they've taken a few stupid decisions. The media remote should use RF like the controllers ... they should have included HDMI CEC ... the Kinect should have been able to send IR commands to the Xbox from the remote ... the HDMI input should recognise DTS
