Xbox Series X / S

It is good that this is shown now. A license is attached to the disc. You don't get to keep access and use when the disc is not in your possession. The digital license is attached to any account where the disc was last in use.

To be honest this (Disc to digital) is the one feature that would make me collect Xbox physical games.

I normally prefer digital cause I don’t have to stand up and swap/insert new games, and most importantly digital don't get scratches or damaged.

Edit: Bonus points it even works for de-listed games

The pricing there has also gone up significantly. A year or two ago a friend of mine bought one from carb for R5000 now most are listed between 8.5 and 11
Cause this is the first time that console prices have gone up instead of down over the years.
I bought mine on release for 11k, if the old trend continued it should have been around 8k new now.
But instead it's 7k more, thank covid and AI

So this is the first console generation to become more expensive as it gets older right? Thanks AI
I'm aware :D

I'm just venting :-(

I'm just glad Bitcoin made me buy 2x consoles instead of upgrading GPU.

2020 GPU's was unobtainium 2.0 and it was cheaper to buy Xbox + PS5 vs 1 proper FX card. If I upgraded back then I would be in line for another right about now and with memory prices the way they are I would have been stuck again.

I went for a mid level GPU in 2020 with the 2060 super, held me until 2022 when I went for a 3070ti which I replaced last year. But yeah consoles were oodles cheaper, but honestly I use my PC waaaaay more than I do my console, the influx of games... Oh wait

Personally went for a G5 GMKNuc that is perfectly capable of streaming either Xbox or PS5 if TV is in use.

Bought a K8 Plus last year when I hear about ram prices and added a RX 7800 via Oculink with SteamOS if I feel like PC gaming. Haven't played on it much but its there if I want to.

NUC's are perfect little things to play great games.

Like Eturnum.

I highly recommend Eturnum.

Though, if you instead bought 4x RAM kits and not the K8 that you never use anyway last year you would today have been sitting on R60k ezpz moneys in the bank to pay for both upcoming PS 6 and Helix.

If I sell my DDR5 kit my PC wouldn't function but I could buy a PS5 Pro probably. Ridiculous went up from R4700 to R24000 since I bought it November 2024.

Just wouldn't be able to afford to replace the ram
