Most of the games they feature so far I already knew about, only real surprise was Witcher 3 Remaster, Def gonna play Witcher 3 again
Only ever played the 1st one cause I got it with my 360, wasn't a fan of cover shooter's back then and also only played any shooter on PC. Will se how I feel about it when it drops.

This is a positive move, but it also raises questions. I don't do Xbox, but the small print is important:

I would assume that such an entitlement can only be claimed once. There would be plausible regional restrictions. The disc would remain accessible.

- License eligibility varies and is subject to change
- Disc remains playable
At this point in time I don't see a link to the terms and usage, but Windows Central (and some others reported):

Xbox would need to provide more clarity. They do change their own rules.
Naturally, as this news dropped, many saw the right to resell their license. Claim a digital copy and sell the disc copy.
Regardless, this is a step in the right direction. This may also hint that the next Xbox will not have a disc drive. I am curious whether Sony has similar plans. Steam does this with SteamWorks, but participation in this activation method is limited.
It is also worth mentioning that Xbox's entitlement system will be integral...
This looks like the XBONE DRM system re-implemented, the reason they can do this in the first place. Sony discs don't have a unique ID like this afaik, so they can't implement a similar system, but if they provide an optional external disc drive for your current discs then it amounts to a similar thing.
With both options you would still need to keep your discs anyway, as the license will get revoked if someone else uses it. But the XB does provide more benefits overall and it looks like a good step forward. But as if there was any doubt, this confirms they are 100% going all digital next gen.

I wonder what size NVMEs Sony and Microsoft are going to launch with with all games going digital, including whole collections now.

With internet connections being what they are now, it's not really an issue. Delete what you don't play often and download when you need to again. Takes me 10 minutes for 50 GB, just go make a coffee and come back while it's downloading...

Depends how much of that is on SSD and how much is on HDD. I tested it, it's actually quicker to re-download than to transfer between different drive types...Blasphemy!!!!

Had to buy a second expansion card for my SX games as Internal + 1TB card was full.

We got a (santa gave it to "us" last December....
) Kioxia 2TB External USD3.2 SSD drive last year and use it to backup Series S games (or play older games directly).And the transfer speed is much much faster than our 100mb fiber line downloads.

Gigabit. Although I admittedly downgraded to 500 Mbps last year so it's now closer to 18-19 minutes. Still faster than transferring. Point is these speeds are common now, especially in developed countries...Then you must have a very slow external or super fast internet?

Hmmmm. My transfer speed from SSD to Series S is faster than that i'm sure.
