Ok so i got my 360 hooked up to my Sinotech 42'. the first game i played on it was Dead Space and that played pretty well but that game involves alot of slow walking and nothing stresses the GPU too much. Then i got GTA 4 and Bad Company recently and ive noticed GTA kinda looks k@k ?! it almost looks like im playing it off a Pentium 2 or 3 or something like that.
Is it the fact that 42' would make most games look a bit blocky or hazy or is it the refresh rate on my tv maybe? i was reading somewhere that the ps3 can handle some vertical lines better or something.i dont know but man i think the PS3 is calling my name at this rate.

I set the Xbox to 720p and switched to full hd but didnt notice any difference.
Fps like Bad Company - when something blows up if you look you will see some 'blocks' real clearly.

anyone got this or aware of it?

most likely refresh rate, the tv can't catch up to what is happening on screen, thats why when people rave about how cheap the sinotec tv's are i just keep quiet, goed koop is duur koop.

im no expert on this, i use component with my lg 32' full hd tv and theres no tearing or blurring or like when you play a fps and move left or right and the screen seems to become dull everytime you move, my friend with a wharfdale 32 inch has the same problem. I don't use hdmi anymore as after using it for a week with a 360 i got the e74 error with a machine that was heading for its 3rd birthday without problems.

Just thinking off the top of my head because most LCD TV's run at 60Hz. I don't think screen tearing would result from the TV itself? or even the cable.
It might the console itself. Only way to be sure is test it on another tv and see if the problem reoccurs.

yeah...thats it! when you move left and right you notice the tv cant handle it

Try connecting the 360 with an HDMI cable and see if it helps.

ive got the 2006 model xbox...is there a converter for that older port to Hdmi?

damn - i wish when i read that thread someone mentioned that you will get some tearing and issues with the sinotec.i think i wouldve just gone for that samsung 32'.

Well at least i know Fifa and Pro Evo should look great because the pace isnt as intense as fps's.Like i said - Dead Space was beautiful on the Sinotec and Hd rips and dvds aswell. Im gonna take Bad Company to my friend who has a 42 ' Samsung.

Ya i use a bravia 32, rather bought a 32 quality display than a 40' POS.

tearing ive noticed, some people dont, I do, havent checked out GTAIV on the machine yet..

hahaha saffa its not really a POS.just if i knew before i probably wouldve gone for 32' and tearing would be a lot less noticeable? Hd looks great on it media but i know it must be the tv because the old 54cm Sansui in the lounge played i never remember myself saying '***** that looks fuzzy'.
i guess i learnt....oh well :(

I noticed that on Bad Company too on my 32" Samsung, doubt the quality of the panel has anything to do with it.

cheers man...Far Cry 2 doesnt suffer as bad from it. and Fallout 3 - i cant remember noticing any real issues.must be the game then :)
