ok, you have me SERIOUSLY confused here...

you want to buy GW and GW2 and put it on a memory stick (meaning the xbox memory unit)?

as far as i'm aware, you can only get those 5 bundle arcade games on disc. anybody have some information on this for us?

When you buy an Arcade game it is licensed to your gamertag and signed to your Xbox. In other words you can't sell them.

Okay thanks,so its impossible to download any game on Console-A then play it offline on Console-B ??????

Exactly. How else is MS gonna make money if people redistribute the games they bought to others?

EDIT: AFAIK, you can play it on another console, but you have to sign into XBOX Live first so it can authenticate your Gamertag. If the Gamertag doesn't match, it will probably revert to trial mode.

But those games are available on the new 512 memory units....what consoles would be able to play those then?

This sucks.....I sold my pro console months ago then got an arcade console recently....never had xbla account and have no idea how to get 1 but ill start doing some research.

If I do the downloads will it be possible to play those games offline or do I need to sign in to play them?

i had trouble playing castle crashers offline. but the free arcade games (bundled with arcade consoles) was fine

question: if you download these, how do you want to play them on your arcade. since you don't have a HDD, a 256MB memory unit will be VERY limited. a 512MB one might get you a few games, but not sure if you should do that.

castle crashes and braid were both in the 140MB region... each. not too sure about the geometry wars though. will have to check on live first

I only want Geometry Wars 1 and 2....I think G-Wars 1 was something like 14mb,not sure about 2.

Its going to be a real effort to creat an account, credit card usage, etc just for 2 games....but if theres no other way.

Dude, get hold of PGR 3. In PGR 3 you can play both GW1 and 2. You can pick PGR3 up these days for next to nothing. Not only do you get GW1 and 2 then, but you get a pretty decent arcade racing game as well... ;)

How does it compare to the arcade versions of those games.....Ive played G-Wars on PGR?(don't know which 1) and it sucked compared to the arcade version.Graphics were bad sound was terrible, dont think there was background music. It was just to basic(like astroids in the early ninties).....

Anyway-Im new to the online thing....ive read that to download games you need Microsoft points for the market place and to get MS points you need to buy them either with a credit card or pre-paid.......any info on this pre-paid purchase because Im close to closing my FNB credit card and don't want to use it again.

First of all, create a Live account by connecting your XBOX to the internet and following the prompts in the XBOX dashboard. After you've done that, visit one of the many online stores that sell MS Points vouchers - most of these stores will instantly email you the voucher number after you've made the purchase. Then you just enter the voucher in the dashboard et viola, you're good to go.

Thanks I kinda saw that NXE take 128m so Im going to need a HDD 1st or a 512m unit just to get started.

I'd recommend you go for the HDD. With NXE you can install games to the HDD, which reduces disc access, decreases loading times (in some games at least) and quietens the xbox CONSIDERABLY.

Is NXE something that installs automatically or can I choose an option not to install it.

I would recommend it non the less. It is a very worthwhile update and streamlines the whole XBOX dashboard. It really feels a lot faster and more intuitive than the Blades-system.
