I've just got a brand new official Xbox Wireless N ( the Black twin antenna variety with 5Ghz support) and I'm having endless difficulty connecting it to my new Billion 7300w 2.4Ghz 150Mb wireless N ADSL router.
I have 2 pcs'/laptops connected to it flawlessly via the wireless, but I cannot get the xbox wireless N adapter to connect.
On the xbox the wireless network is detected and shown ( my ssid is not hidden ) as well as other nearby wireless networks.
I use WPA2 and AES as the encryption type. ( recommend by MS "Use WPA2 if possible: The best wireless encryption to use with your Xbox 360 console is WPA2 with AES encryption. " http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages...twork.aspx?kbid=978945#WirelessNetworkAdapter )
I enter my network password on the xbox and it tries to connect to my network but it says it cannot connect to the wireless network.
My Billion 7300w is configured to 802.11 g+n.
DHCP is enabled
The odd thing however is that it will connect to my older Billion 7300ga 2.4Ghz 54Mb wireless ADSL router, configured using WPA2 and AES, with the same password, same DHCP scope and set to 802.11b+g ( it's default setting )
I've tried setting the newer Billion 7300w to 802.11g, 802.11b+g, 802.11g+n and 802.11b+g+n with no luck.
any ideas?
I'd rather be using my newer 150Mb Wireless N adsl router than my older 54Mb one...........
