XBox X not downloading

My son's Xbox X is struggling to download app's or games. I previously got it to work intermittently by changing profiles and selecting download indirectly. But, cannot get it to consistently download whatever you want when you want it. I do have a suspicion that it might be more account related than a software or a hardware issue. Any suggestions or help would be wonderful.

Thanks for responding. Nothing out of the ordinary. No special DNS, no VPN - only TPLink AX6000 router linked to Coolideas via Openserve. You make me want to try download from outside the router. Will report back.

uPNP turned on?

Try set your DNS directly on the Xbox then to something like 1.1.1.1.

But also do turn on uPNP.
