Try this...

Spend the next eight months building up your GamerScore, include at least 80 hours on Oblivion, and then screw up your XboX LIVE registration, thereby losing your saved games...

It sorts your addiction right out - I feel like drop-kicking my 360 into the swimming pool! (It would hurt, though. Damn, that thing's heavy!)

Oh well, I recently bought an LG 32" LCD - I'll just pretend I only got the console yesterday!

On gamerscore, it's an absolute stroke of genius I tell you. What better way to get people to buy "meh!" games than "oh, well at least you can nail 1000gamerpoints in 4 hours" . . .

Look at the time of the above post - I should've been SLEEPING. I over-emphasised the whole thing. I don't care about the gamerscore at all - I lost my saved games!

Argh... It makes me depressed to think about having to start in Oblivion's sewers again! Not to mention my pro-golfer in Tiger Woods, me 30-odd cars I had accumulated in Forza2, being within an inch of finishing Crackdown... Someone hold me...

lol I know exactly how you feel, my Xbox was stolen in January and I had to start all over again....

The gamerscore was the smartest thing they ever did, I am now pushing my wife to finish Viva Pinata so I can get some more score

No, nothing as severe as that. I hadn't gone LIVE in the 8 months I've had the console and then I decided 2 days ago to try the whole media streaming number... which was great.

That's when, as usual, I got over-zealous and decided "let's go LIVE over 3G..." Suffice to say, I was too busy deciding where in the UK I should live and too tired to notice what the dialogue boxes were saying. I created a LIVE profile with the same GamerTag as my offline one, read something about 'Press A to replace profile on console' and POOF! - saved games gone...

I'm going to go sulk now...
