Hi all.

Is there anyone in the Cape Town area who can lend a XBox360 Connectivity Kit to me to flash my XBox?
I have a Lite-On Drive so would need both the Kit and the Probe... Possibly also Torx 7 and 12 Screwdrivers?

The XBox itself is out of warranty as I purchased it from a friend who had void the warranty by opening the case but not going any further.

Doesn't Mark @ Console Doctor modify consoles too? www.consoledoctor.co.za - contact details.

Worth a try!

Just popped an email into his inbox. I am thinking of buying a kit for myself as there is an offer for the "MRA Mod" at R500 and I could purchase a kit to do it myself for less than that.

Why does Microsoft have to be so difficult with the LiteOn 7xxx drives

dude. you have no idea what is going on with flashing a xbox. get someone to do it for you. mra can also be done on the liteon 74850

I know that a connectivity kit and a probe/soldering is needed to extract the firmware key. I am not totally clueless on this front. It'll cost R500 for the MRA mod including shipping it to Pretoria for it to be done, or I can pay R400 for my own connectivity kit and probe as well as the ability to flash my friends XBox's which makes more sense in the end.

EDIT: Thanks Greg, got it
