a) I notice when you rip a CD to it without internet connection, it adds track, title when even even my mediaplayer can't do this. Is there a database on the xbox? Is the information on the CD? Is my MP screwed?

b) How would you get the digital audio off the console, such as Dolby Digital? Are there optical/coaxial out or do you need to purchase something?

c) Does it double as a DVD player?

a - No idea, I would have to guess the data is on the CD though
b - There is an optical out on the video cable, I also missed it the first time ;)
c - Yes, it also upscales all your DVD's to 1080i or something like that. It has received great reviews as a DVD player

a) The CD might have CD Text on it. This might be where it gets the track information from.

Thanks :)

Can you buy a seperate optical ... ?

What if you'd like to plug the optical into amplifier and the video straight to the TV? :/

MY CD player supports CD Text and it never showed anything :/

Thanks :)

Sorry maybe I wasn't clear..

The part of the video cable that connects to the back of the 360 has the Optical slot in it. You then buy an optical cable to connect to that cable and into your amp...

I don't know why they put it on the cable and not on the back of the box but it does the same job?

O *click*

I get it ... I thought meant the cable itself was integrated :P

Thanks

Hmm, now that is weird. Maybe you have one of those new "wireless-packetless-super-dooper" networks, and didn't even know it? :p

hehe ...

Try place a CD in yours and see what it does :/
