Johannesburg - An Actonville businessman has been killed after being accused of hiring foreign workers, the Sowetan reported on Tuesday.

The man, the owner of a construction company in Benoni, had his house set ablaze by a mob who accused him of not hiring local people.

He was killed in the early hours of Monday.

Actonville police spokesperson Constable Godin Nyathi said the man died inside his burning house.

He said the group that attacked the man came from the local hostel and from the Emlotheni and Emandleni informal settlements.

Who said "just a matter of time"?

Maybe it is because foreigners actually want to do the work, not like so many locals who want to be employed and then want to get paid for a half @ssed effort.

The government now needs to step in, in a big way and put a stop to this crap immediately.

"Emlotheni and Emandleni informal settlements" Im pretty sure they burn easier than the suburbs. *cough*

And who says white people can tell the difference between a zim and a SAFFIR? Same thing to me.

*sigh*

I'll repeat my previous sentiments:

I hate the people of this country

Recently I prepared my property for renting, and needed some painting done.

I drove down Heugh road in PE and near the squatter camp I picked up a guy holding his paint brush and roller.

He worked hard and well - didn't get paint on the window frames, skirting boards or carpet.
At the end of the day when he was washing the brushes etc. I asked hime where in Zim he was from.
He was surprised that I could tell he was from Zim, and even more surprised when I arranged to pick him up the next day for more work.

I'd better be careful next time just in case the mob [lazy sh1ts] burn me and my home.

The scary thing is, I can't reveal to much, I know somebody who is having major problems with a few racist workas. Causing all kinds of **** intimidating fellow workers because they believe the 'whitey' owners of the company are pulling a scam. They claim there is no need for the company to be private and that the municipality must take over and run the show along with a bunch of BEE mumbo jumbo. they've taken their complaints to basically everybody and anybody they can dreaming up deranged conspiracy theories that these whiteys are pulling blah blah blah.

Of course it's a load of BS that even local government departments or press don't take seriously but it really is stirring the pot and who knows what they could get up to once their asses are booted out. Their problem is perfectly clear. It's the owners of the company being 'white' and they're trying to force them out.

[-]Xenophobia[/-] [-]Racism[/-] Damn, no idea what that is called.

At least the new paint job will look nice when they show your burning home in the news reports! ;)

My family own quite a few companies, one of which is being sold outright to a BEE consortium purely because of the constant threats of violence and strike action due to the 4 directors being white! What they dont realise is that this BEE company is merely purchasing the company for the assets and has no intention of continuing the business as the rubber industry is not quite booming, however the presses are pretty valuable.

They are all about to become unemployed because of their racist BS attitudes and I can guarantee you they will blame my family, not the BEE consortium! Thats another 500 to add to the growing "unemployed and pissed off with everyone" list!

I think the term is. "justifiably grievanced by the injustices of Apartheid and continuing exploitation of the indigenous people by the racist colonial imperialists"

I may be wrong. Ask Lance, GM and co for the correct term :o

"The white man cheated us by selling us this company and not teaching us how to run it."

I read all this i come to the realisation that we are screwed. Mark my words the Xenophobia going on at the moment will be apartheids (white people) fault. The all to familiar race card will be pulled out.

Well what do you expect... when the previously disadvantaged get promissed that in the new south africa they will all have jobs and houses, and instead what we see is a few people at the top of the food chain getting wealthier by the day.. of course we will see the people at teh bottom revolt. Foreigners stealing jobs MIGHT be what started this whole thing off, but what we are seeing is teh manifestation of a bigger problem that the people have.

The Government created the attitude.
When is the ANC going to actually admit that it tossed away or scrapped a significant portion of the black youth spreading appr 4 generations possibly.
The youth became their pawns and were manipulated in this manner.
They were encouraged to disrespect their parents (who were less literate) to necklace ipimpies, burn and damage houses, schools etc.
Now they are told that what was preached and promoted for 40yrs has to stop!

These are people who have not been tasked with responsibility - being look after it. For all these years they have broken/burnt/blown up stuff/property and then walked away from it. Now they have to figure out how to sit with something and maintain it.

Whilst I agree with the fact that the rich are getting richer, and the poor are getting poorer, I do not believe that the foreigners are "stealing" anyone's jobs by any means. The fact is that the people complaining do so because they are lazy and expect to get paid more to do a half-assed job. People are making it out to sound like the foreigners are mugging them in the company parking lots as they are on their way to a job interview. The issue with these people is lack of responsibility; they need someone, anyone, to blame. They refuse to take responsibility for their own situation and instead have to find someone to blame. First it was the whites, then it was (the whites again?), then it was the government, then it was the whites, and now it is the foreigners.

Yes, they are getting a really raw deal from the government, but necklacing, raping and murdering innocent foreigners is not the way to go about resolving it.

If the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem needs a nail.
