XFX 8800 GTX Bios upgrade - Help

Hi peeps,

I have the XFX 8800 GTX card. I believe you can update the Bios to get you the Ultra's performance. The only website I found with XFX Bios Updates is:

My Q to you is:

How do I know what Bios to update to? What do I do to make sure that after the Bios update the card will still work?

Dude lets put it this way, you will get 10% more performance and have a 20% chance of damaging your card.

I would not do this for the tiny increase you will get.

so what, just do a small OC on the card then or what?

Just overclock it using nTune or another application. I wouldn't suggest flashing the bios, as the Ultra was only a faster clocked model of the GTX. You can get that on most GTX's with decent cooling and some patience with software.

Use riva tuner or ati tool or if you have an evga card you can use their precision software. Ntune isn't as good as these.

Don't risk a bios update.
