So I bought 4 of these camera's to install throughout the house. The 1st problem is it comes equipped with a +-2m cable, I can do sweet fckall with 2m as its simply to short. (The cables only provide power)

So I bought 5m USB extender cables to connect the 2m cables with which gives me lots of length (https://shorturl.at/oszNV). I Connected the devices with the extender, I managed to link them and set them up + do the firmware upgrade. But now i'm noticing after about 5min the light start flashing orange and on the app it says offline. On the one device if I restart it, it works again for 5min and then does the same. The other one keeps doing the same thing. If I hard reset it and set it up from scratch, it works but then stars doing the same after 5min.

The other device I have not used the extender cable (yet), It works 100%. No issues this far.
Now I'm suspecting the issue is the extender cable, I don't know. Its a fcking pain. I want to buy a 5m Type C cables but don't want to waste money. A 5m cable costs almost half of what the camera cost. What I find odd is the devices gets power, So I don't understand. Do they lose power somehow because the cables are "linked" and to long. I'm pretty sure the problem is not the actual "charger", even though they don't come with a charger. I connected the one to a 120w Mi Charger. So there is now way its not getting enough from the charger.

So you have 3 options to save your footage, 1st is SD card. You can put in a 32GB card and its said to capture +- 3days of footage.
Secondly, You can save locally. Im assuming this is my phone. But the lack of information is astonishing.
Lastly is you can sign up for Mi Security for R70pm and get unlimited cloud storage which to me is the best option. But here is the kicker, seems like you need to subscribe for each camera as I cannot seem to link individual camera's to the account. I have 4 camera's. There aint no fcking way im paying R280pm.

I'm quite disappointed in these camera's and wont recommend them.
Pro's
Easy setup
Links to central app for control
Firmware update quick and easy
Automatic record movement

Cons
Non rotating Camera
125° View
Mi cloud storage, expensive if more than 1 camera. Confusing interface
Short 2m Power cable, Does not work with USB extenders
It automatically records movement which is great. But does not record the whole scene. It records a few seconds of the person it detected and then I guess the camera assumes "that's enough of that" and then stops recoding. No options to set/change recording time.
