Xiaomi Note 7 vs Note 8?

I'm trying to decide between these two phones and am not sure which to pick.

I went through some benchmarks and from what I've seen online, despite the fact that the Note 8 has an 11 nanometer processor, it's actually running 200 mhz slower than the Note 7 processor and this impacts its performance (slightly) in benchmarks. Load times may be somewhat faster on the Note 8, depending on the app. The rest of the specs seem identical/very close on paper. Combine all of this with the fact that Note 7's are getting discounted for Black Friday, while Note 8's are at their normal price, I'm not sure which one to get.

Any thoughts?

I'd personally still go for Note 8 for future software support (they'll prioritize it above the Note 7) and more devs will be working on releasing custom roms, fixed etc for it first, or atleast, thats what I think...

BUT, if the Note 7 is considerably cheaper then by all means go for it instead

as far as iam aware the Note 8 is slightly better in just about everything including camera and battery life.
