Xiaomi Phone power button sensitive

This was such a great solve, i had to post the solution. I have a Mi9 and this evening the power button become super sensitive. A brush would set it off and it ended up rebooting several times. I searched around the net and found the most unlikely solution. You simply tap the area around the power button a couple of time and presto, issue resolved for now. Apparently it works on Samsung too. Here i was about to go get another amazing Mi, i can save some bucks cause i tapped

Thankyou so much for this. My Xiaomi note 8 just started acting up a few days back. Couldn't find anything abt it till I stumbled on your post.... I tapped like u suggested and it worked. My phone is back to normal now
