To start off, I wanted to play BF2 online on the SAIX server, however when I get to the EA Account creation screen, it says "Connection refused by server". So I think it is the (hardware) firewall..but I'm not sure what the port is ( It might be 27900 UDP, any help in this regard would solve 1 of my problems)

Anyway that is a small problem compared to this. I usually open ports via the method described in this article. http://ecross.mvps.org/howto/icf.htm

However I get this screen http://img300.echo.cx/img300/2773/network2tk.jpg. Yes it looks correct but I usually have something like "Internet Connection" there NOT LAN as I can't open ports that way - I can only open ports if Internet Connection is there.

Q2: How can I have internet if there is no symbol to say that? Did I disable it by mistake?

Q3: Internet Connection Firewall is for XP SP1 but I have SP2 - while is ICF enabled then? (this is not the host computer but a Win2k one is but Win2k doesn't have ICF does it?) If it does, please tell me how to disable it :)

Thx if you help me :)

Q2 : How can you have an internet connection when no dial-up connection has been created ?

Your DSL Router/Modem has been configured to automatically initiate the connection to the internet.
i.e. Your ISP login and Password are now stored on the DSL Router/Modem, and it connects whenever somebody requests data from a machine that is not on the local network.

Can you play / do you play any other online games ?
Do they work ?

Yes, I can play CSS, BF1942, CoD etc - via the All Seeing Eye. That is after I created "exceptions" for them via the method described in the last post. However since the icon has disappeared (and I'm very sure it must be the firewall since all the people on SGS seem to be able to play), I can't play :( = no BF2
