XP think my P4 is a Dual Core!!

I think wrt Vista and the requirements of higher end gfx cards (read 8800) a better processor is necessary, my 3500+ & X850XT are starting to look very dated. I can't even run Colin McRae DiRT cos the card doesn't support SM3 :(
