Howzit guys,
I've just bought a new copy of Windows XP: Home for a computer that I'm building but as soon as gets to about 10% it says that it can't copy the file. I'm using a SATA DVD RW. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Had this problem many times and it turned out to be the disk or the disk drive.

Do you have another drive to try the disk with?

Take the disk out wipe it down your shirt.

WOW

Strange how the bios didn't pick it up during the boot thingy?? Do PC's still check the mem when booting??

No, your BIOS only dose a sanity check on the ram. You need to run memcheck or some other app do a decent check. Always handy to keep a LINUX live CD around if only for memcheck.

F0cking WOOOOOT! I didn't see anyone post a stupid comment like "Upgrade to Linux" or something. :D

Why would we?- XP is pretty good and as we've established the hardware was to blame. Had my fair share of Linux installs bombing due to hardware issues too.

Exactly! Nothing wrong with XP, as long as your hardware is 100%
