Was thinking the exact same thing.

Well I am either going to sell my HTC Desire or this phone. Depending on how it performs and feels. Either case, I will end up in the Black.

My DHD is still waiting for the Xaiomi Mi to be released for its replacement.

The HTC Sensation just threw a spanner in the works for me. I love the look of that phone.

Has your payment been confirmed for the Xperia Play?

Payment will only be deducted on ship date. From last email conversation I had with them they awaiting delivery from their suppliers but will adhere to the price quoted on the order.
 
I also just ordered the phone + accessories bundle, but what accessories are included? According to the site, both have the same box contents.
 
The price is now R3,309.99 (R2,903.50 exc.) for the accessories bundle.

This is what the website says regarding the lead time:

We have no confirmed lead time for this item - call for more details.
Ordered On Request

Something tells me we're not going to get our phones (at the price we ordered).

Well seeing that they only deduct payment on confirmation before shipping tells me the moment the price changes I can cancel which I will if they want to charge more. Lucky for me this is just a replacement of a back up phone so I am not to concerned to get it. Would be great but not a train smash.
 
Just got an email that stock is expected to arrive in JHB in a minimum of 10 working days.

Let's hope this lead time doesn't get extended...
 
Seems when the rand dips the price goes up and when the rand recovers the price stays the same :)
 
Yeah that's way it usually goes in SA. Been doing so for years in the tech industry, then at some point it becomes so expensive that sales drastically decline and then the price is dropped and the process starts all over again.

And its no where near the ETA of the 19th. I wonder if this means that they will be getting them much later?

Any case I'll keep my order open, its not like it will be my main Phone anyway...

Well thats why its replacing my Dev phone... for R2000 you have to admit its a nice deal

Oh wait your sporting a BB... and you say this has crap FX... man talk about double standards :P
