xubuntu & wireless

hey guys,

my laptop- dell latitude d505's wireless adapter stops working after an hour or so, then i HAVE to restart my laptop to be able to connect to my home router and connect to the internet. I have no idea what to do and i dont want to format.

on windows it would be a power setting that disables the wireless adapter- but on linux?

please help me, thanks

when it stops working, does it show it has disconnected from the router? does your light switch off? what program are using to connect?

Check your /var/log/messages to see what is says about the wlan0 or wifi0 or ath0 wireless interface
