That's a little blanket, don't you think? I don't like rap, generally, bar a few artists, and I'm not particularly conservative.

There are several different styles of rap. Not just Rap. Different artists have their own flows. When you listen, you can hear who their influence was - who they are basing themselves off. Their music tells you where they have come from, what they have done and seen and experienced.

Yes I know it is not everyone's style - but no need to say it is terrible or horrible.

It's not that black and white. Many (black at least) rappers were socialized in moderately conservative homes and the industry is pretty homophobic and patriarchal both of which are normally conservative traits. So they may be liberal with the sex, drugs or whatever but they still subscribe to some conservative mindsets.

Peopled who don't like rap often don't like loud music. I like metal and rock - so naturally like rap too. But loud rap. XXXTentacion was my first artist that I liked that had much softer music. He has some beautiful songs, uncharacteristic of classical rap.
