Yamaha warranty?

Anyone know how long the warranty is on Yamaha AV receivers? My 15 month old one decided yesterday afternoon not to turn on.

Pretty sure it is 12 months. Have you checked your wiring for possible shorts?

Yamaha is 1 year

Ja found out it's 1 year. No fuses on the back, no shorts on the wiring. It's on its way to Balanced Audio, guess I'll just have to pay. Strange though, in all other countries I've checked, Yamaha have a 2 year warranty.

In SA distributors/dealers make up their own warranty policies. CPA should sort this out hopefully.

If you're in Cape Town and your Yamaha amplifier is not under warranty you can take it directly to Video Clinic, 021-557-5037, 123 Blaauwberg Road, Table View. They're across the road from On Tap.

I don't recall mine having a two year warranty in the UK either.
