I watched the January TelcoTalk last night. Rudolf Muller (founder MyBroadBand [this site]), Angus Hays, the articulate Neotel PR flack (Neotel is the sponsor) and a chap from Nashua Mobile were the guests. They were discussing local loop unbundling. Extravagant promises had been made about action before the end of 2011 (November, I think). In Rudolf’s pessimistic view, if the regulations were in place at that time SA would exceed expectations.
I feel he is being optimistic in his pessimism. Meetings about meetings to determine the room decor and the speaking order of participants might be accomplished by November (or am I optimistic?). Then there is the issue of performance bonuses for all this hard work. TIA.
