Well, that last part isn't happening. Plus even if they were it would take a few months to a year to actually be less then useless

Flip is that the amount all companies secretly agree on.

This is just one reason I stopped caring and giving companies my all a while back. I have low expectations of them and don't expect loyalty so they must not expect the same from me. It's a two way street.
 
Hmm, last year it was during work hours, and at a venue. They brought in decent food trucks etc. Limited how much you could take and stuff but if they gonna pay me to go eat on their time and hang out I may attend gain. If it is after hours I will probably decline.
 
last year was a weird sort of secret Santa, year before was nothing, year before that was also nothing,
don't got high hopes for anything special just a teams meeting with some awkward waving, and not much else.
 
We have to attend after hours ,no partners and a limit of 250.

Last year the restaurant chosen was so expensive I could max the limit on a starter.

Massmart was a joke,compulsory attendance, during work hours ,limited food. long queues, then ran out of food just before I got to the table.


One company i worked for took the cake. No partners ,after hours, compulsory attendance and you had to pay for yourself. Never attended once and had to deal with the crap from the owners the next day

Back in the day when I was a contractor, one of my customers used to include me in their year ends, man this place went all out. One year it was a massive circus, another year was the entire barnyard theater booked out, my last year they booked the Riveria hotel and we went on booze cruises.

Never had it that extravagant but have had a similar experience of an external company treating me better than the one i work for.
 
Last year they left it so late it was almost cancelled as they couldn't find a venue. Have a feeling the manager will wake up on the 10 of Dec again and realize he needs to do something
