Asking google for help, lots off people have a similar problem. I dont use BB. The reply from you shows me what kinda people use BB's.

You can launch BB App World & navigate to 'My World' section to see which app has updates available. If it was not installed via BB App World, you may have to launch every app you have installed & see if any request an update.

It's a WAP push message. Go to SMS messages, press the Blackberry menu button on keypad. Select "View Folder" and scroll down to WAP push messages. It will be in there as an unread message, just delete. If not, check browser messages too.
