Yesterday my internet connection stopped working | Very wierd problem

Hi there!

Yesterday I lost internet connection due to incorrect username/password. I didn't even change it nor give it to anybody outside this house. So I logged on my mweb account and changed the password. It didn't work. So I gave up and went to bed immediately.

Today the router's internet LED is flashing green, indicating it's connected to the internet oO

Well, why did it happen? Am I in danger of losing my login details to some evil hackers?

Hi, I had the same problem last night. ADSL line connected, but none of my accounts would log on, Sainet or Axxess. Router kept showing "connection established" then "connection terminated". This morning all OK.
PS. I am in the East London area.

Probably just a problem with authentication servers, it happens. If you're concerned that someone else is using your account, contact your ISP and ask them to check if there are/were any conenctions made to your account from a different port (phone number).

Yep around 10pm last night my WA account also dropped. The 4mbps to telkom syncs, but I think the exchange went belly up somehow. Couldn't get any DNS replies.

Yip, same happened to me.. tried 3 different ISP's.... nothing nada ... happened about 10pm last night too....

Whoa! I too am from Eastern Cape. About 200 km away from East London.

All of a sudden I got disconnected from the internet because of wrong password last night. I still don't understand why this happened

I can confirm that yesterday night East London exchange had problems (Spoke to Telkom)and it was rectified by early morning
