The amount of journalists and aid workers being killed off by elements in the Russian government is amazing!!!

MOSCOW, Aug. 11 -- The head of a children's charity in Chechnya and her husband were found shot to death in the trunk of a car Tuesday in the latest sign of violence and lawlessness in the region and the Kremlin's inability to contain it.

The killings of Zarema Sadulayeva and her husband, Alik Dzhabrailov, who both ran a center for children suffering war injuries and trauma, came less than a month after the slaying of their colleague, the prominent human rights activist Natalya Estemirova, prompted international outrage.

Another victim added to the lists :(

Seems the Kremlin has a very heavy hand when dealing with its critics. A sad day.

Chechnya has been a victim of many war crimes committed by Russia, those who are aware of it like Putin will do everything to silence those trying to dig up the truth.

Nobody was able to cover that war objectively and Russia was not going to allow Chechnya to break away even if that meant atrocities against the civilian population who wanted independence.

Read what Stalin did with them -- ALL shipped off lock stock & barrel -- to SIBERIA I think.

Only came back after the WWII and the death of Stalin.

Russia=China=America. When your own people criticse the government, you kill them, as simple as that.

For the love of all things small and shiny! How many activists are found every second Tuesday face down in the Potomac River?

I don't know which nutter website you get your news from, but the fact that they are still allowed to operate shows that freedom of speech is alive and well in the USA.

Journalists criticize the US daily, you mean if a state chose to cecede.

Huh, I know one state can cecede but I wonder if the central government can throw a state out of the union :/

If you are referring to Texas then you are wrong. No state can cecede from the USA contrary to what some people might think.

However, you forget that there is precedent from secession from Union as it has occurred before.

There is no law forbidding or allowing secession. If Texas or any other state decides to secede, the resulting peaceful separation or war will depend not on law, but on the will of whomever happens to be Commander-in-Chief at the time.
