Wondering if you guys could give me some assistance here?
I'm currently looking at buying a new TV for my lounge this week and I'm stuck on which ne to get between the two options I've decided on (which are both on special sorta at GAME this week).
option 1 Samsung 55inch smart LED

option 2 Hisense 50inch Smart 3D LED

Option 1 is of course Samsung but it's not 3D,but it should play nicely with my existing Samsung Surround sound and I think it still comes witht eh VOX 1TB data but what about stuff like Plex and Hulu which I is wht I used to accomplish with my Roku Streaming stick.

Option2 is 3D, doesn't come with the VOX 1TB, has Guesture and voice control, uses Android Jelly Bean compared to Samsung's own Smart TV OS and may not be compatible with my Surround sound, although I can always just use a optical cable for that, even though the TV apparently does support HDMI-CEC and ARC.

So which one should I get and is 3D really worth it if I never downlaod or stream 3D movies (I know some convert standar videos to 3D)??

P.S. not sure if this is in the right section or not, if not could one of the mods move

If you consider Vox deal in the equation, then you must hurry as the deadline for purchases is 30 April 2015.

Some people love 3D, but then someone like me have never used the 3D function on my TV in 3 years.

Personally I would go for the Samsung as the bigger screen size is more important for me than 3D. Other to consider is how many inputs you need in terms of HDMI, etc. The H6203 is a watered down version with only 2HDMI inputs and 2 USB. Hisense have 4HDMI and 3USB.

On the flip side, Groupon had a 60" Plasma for R9 990 recently. Excellent buy in my opinion, but then again I am biased towards plasma.

Yea I underestimated the Vox promo - but now I realise it is saving me R399.00pm (R4,788pa) and it's great. Also unshaped and goes nicely - got a torrent at 1.7MB/sec the other day.

I have registered for the promo today. I bought the Sammy 48h5500 for R7999 at Makro. Used my eBucks to get 40% discount voucher. Vox data could potrntially save me R2,5k-R3k.
So TV effectively is going to cost me in the region of R2,5k. SCORE!!!
