yoghurt measurements

Do you think yoghurt should be measured in litres or kilograms?
 
litres ... it's close to liquid than a solid
 
That's what I thought, but it's measured in kg.

And it just sounds so much worse to say "I ate a kilo of yoghurt today" thank "I drank a litre of yoghurt today"...
 
Most of the packaging in the dairy industry is labeled in liters or ml. The same with yoghurt.
 
Kilograms...

You eat it most of the time and most edible things are measured in kilograms, grams.
 
Nope - I've seen yogurt labelled as 1KG ...
 
Luckily not me, but this will become a circular argument and thats just too mush effort for yoghurt. *me gets back to programing the yoghurt filling line automation for <insert bid dairy company name here>* :D
 
Funny thing is some recipes call for yogurt in ml but you need to buy the stuff in kgs. I wonder if the 1kg container is close to a litre?

Its quite a bit heavier, actually. The closer you get to water the lighter it becomes.
 
it shoud be measured by "spoons"

eg: 1 litre/kilo = 105 Spoons.
 
Well technically anything can be measure either way.

May I know why you need to know this? Cause I'm more interested in why you want to know than what the answer really is :)
 
Pure and simple curiosity. I noticed it and wondered if I was the only one who thought it odd.
 
interesting...never noticed it before. but there are others that are sold as 1litre. phone them and complain. tell them it is fluids and should be measured in litre :p
