It's not only us...even in some parts of the United States they have slow connections.

Was just watching episode 132 of Tekzilla, and someone wrote in complaining of their DSL connection:-

"Try living in rural Fairmont, Minnesota. We finally got bumped in our DSL from 3mbps to 6mbps.

And what do they pay, $20 for the entire service including uncapped access (or is it 200gb now)? Maybe $30? Sounds terrible, I could never cope....

They only getting 6mbps now.....and we only getting 10mbps now.

Yeah, it's probably $20 for the service with a 200GB softcap or something.

In the same segment they were saying they just got 3G service, but on their 3G they have a 15GB cap. Probably also cheap...

Ja, their problem is not poor service it is just the sheer size of their continent. In some ways we benefit from living in a small country or near big cities.

jokes aside, funny how just a stone's throw from their border in south korea speeds are pretty good. shows you if a government pushes communication, amazing things can happen. not too sure 'ol jay-zee wasn't just retelling us the same old stories we've been hearing since 1999
