i sort of wanted to surprise my brother's friend who lives in ukraine by breaking the news about the 384 adsl line i am about to order for us. when i left ukraine 6 years ago, there were even no atms there. now as we chatted on, he told me almost everybody there is part me the metropolitan network. and what made me very sad, he pays only about 30 rands pm for 2 gig 250 kilobytes per second min download speeds. i told him about what i will shell out pm. he was shocked because he recently watched a program about sa. they claimed that south africans were literally walking on gold. question: do you have gold go your pockets after paying your adsl bills?

Lol. I'm sorry. But i have to ask this:

Did you write this on your cellphone with predictive text on? I always get "Me"s instead of "Of"s when i recieve sms's from people in a hurry!

Oh, and all the gold is at the top of the food chain... pressing the rest of us down into the dirt.

yes bobb, predictive. smile wider, it could even predict your nick! thanks for reply. i am going to ukraine for a vacation in june, maybe it will inspire me to in and live there again. lol.

It's true. We do walk on gold. But it's about 2k under us and has to be mined out :D

snormossel, i got my chick in sa, but it was the last worth while here. the rest wait for you in ukraine as a bonus to your residential fibre connection. lol.

m0zy, and this is why black miners seldom leave the trade!

i wonder who of those miners can afford adsl. you could buy a whole sheep for the price of adsl pm. lekka braai. haha.

i am talking now to this guy from a small wisp in our area he says telkom adsl could turn out to af a worse option on 384 since they give me 4mbit ps with some contention for the same price. what would you go for?

martin, the only jaarik writing this is me. although i can sometimes be an fm station on my own, last time i spoke on the radio was 3 years ago, and only on rsg. can you stream tuks fm? maybe i can listen to myself? lol!
