Hi all,

Just wondering how people managed their ADSL accounts *pre Nov 1st*. Which of the following profile best describes how you used your ADSL account(s)?

A. I use less than 1gb most months
B. I use between 1 and 2gb most months
C. My usage is around 3gb but only because I dont want to get capped
D. I use one of the higher cap solution - but i struggle to keep within the limit
E. I use one of the higher cap solution - but i use nowhere near the cap
F. I have the 3gb account, but i blew the cap on the first few days, but most of my traffic is local.
G. I had two accounts one for local (use like F) and one for international traffic only (If you used this please also choose another profile for your international account)
H. None of these even vaguely described how i use my account (please give description in this case)

Thanks

Spinz

Option : D

I had a 30GB account and about 5 days before the end of the month I would normally have to be really careful or I will get capped.

Before that I had teh UUNet Uncapped when it was still a proper service. Averaged about 45-60GB per month, the good old days.

Had standard 3gig Telkom Internet account and Axxess 30Gig account.

Came in under 10gigs per month on both combined usually but having 30Gigs per month to play with was always nice cussion that gave me enough freedom not to worry. Now I am back on just 3gigs...

D - My old friend the 10G account, I will sorely miss him :(

H - Went over the 3GB cap somewhere around 20th to 25th, didn't bother much since I could still read mail and myADSL and play Counter Strike Source on SGS servers

D till about the 15th when I descided screw international and then my account turned into something like a 30 gig being used like F.

I had 3 accounts 90 Gig, divided between my business and kept dome for my little pleasures in life, now got 30Gig, lots of my little pleasures have been said goodbye to :-(

I had 3x 30 GB accounts as well but now I've taken five steps backwards and gone back to one-directional satellite I used to use when I still had dial-up...

D. I use one of the higher cap solution - but i struggle to keep within the limit

I like getting independent music and adult swim cartoons (american cartoon network night programming)...nice stuff you could never ever get here...well not anymore.

30Gig WA since 1sept. Used 6gig in sept and 16 gig in Oct. Now have 10gig SAOL till ADSL1024 is removed. Then back on my trusty, cheap, uncapped, unshaped. SAT link. Maybe take 192, 1gig 24/7 just to complement.

B - Mostly WoW, web-surfing and e-mail. The odd patch, movie trailer or game demo.

B + H . I use on avg 1.5 - 2.5GB though this month and last month i will be close to 3GB, i'm just trying fit it all into 3GB which is possible. sad thing though is a only reason i went for 3GB was cause local was uncapped but now.. i think i may aswell go for a 4GB acc if one came out just for a 1 or 2 months though. after then my usage will likely drop to below 2 GB again.

I had my 30 gb WA account for international surfing and downloading, of which i used about 29gb a month

I also had a 3gb TelkomInternet account for local, of which i used ~40-80gb a month just downloading from local. Guess this makes me an abuser.

Had a 30 gigger for a few months, never exceeded the 30 gigs, although if I had more I would use it (afforability).
On average I was doing between 7 and 20 gigs a month and was quite happy with that.

Before these gastapo restrictions came in, I would average around 25 gigs. It's unaffordable now so 3 gigs is pretty much what I can pay. Sadly, until something is done about telscum, like their ENTIRE executive being fired, 3 gigs is pretty much gonna be it for me. If I could download my hatred for that PATHETIC company, I would need a 100 gig pipe to do the transfer.
