What's the best deal you've come across lately?

Here's mine. Needed some label tape for the kids stationery and found this.

R10 whole Rand!

A year ago, I was shopping for school shoes for my daughter. Think it was Shoe City if I'm not mistaken. Found a pair and when it was time to pay, the cashier couldn't find that particular barcode/price on the system so they gave it to me for R1.

A client was having a new wood-burning stove installed when I went to see him for PC issues.
His old one was on the lawn, looking sad and unloved, with a cracked top, broken glass, and full of pigeon poo, rust and ash.
I asked him what he wanted for it.
"Well, if you can just get the piece of junk off my front lawn it's yours"
A month of scraping, cleaning and painting later:

He even threw in the genuine Morso humidifier kettle worth R2600 for free.

LOL.
A friend of ours once did a HUGE shop at Makro, spent thousands (she was a caterer).
One of the items she bought was a pair of ladies high-heeled shoes.
She got home and tallied up the bill, only to notice the cashier hadn't rung up the shoes.
She boasted to her husband when he got home that she'd got a 'free' pair of shoes that day.
He said: "Take them back and pay for them. It's the right thing to do".
She never did.
First time she wore them, the heel broke, she slipped and sprained her ankle.
Hubby just laughed and said "I told you that you should have paid for them. You gonna try and get your money back?"

Picked up this Bench Vice for R299 with a damaged box on one of those builders warehouse clearance shelves.

The other was picking up 3x HP Gen8 Microservers in perfect condition for R1200 each from a guy off Carbonite. He threw in 3x 2TB drives and 3x 1TB drives for free as well.

Also paid R199 for a Platinum Kettle, Toaster and Sandwich press from Checkers. The Sandwich press unfortunately got dropped and cracked but the Kettle and Toaster have served me for >13 yrs which is pretty remarkable since I used them at least twice a day.

Getting a brand new R2000 speedlite for R250 from Game, used if for a couple years and sold it for a nice profit
